Mhairi Black may not stand in next election

by Jonathan Rimmer

THE youngest elected MP in 350 years may not stand in the next general election.

The SNP’s Mhairi Black won the Paisley and Renfrewshire South seat two years ago.

But she says she doesn’t know if she will contest the 2020 election as she finds Parliament a “depressing place” where “little gets done”.

Journalist and political commentator Robert Somynne says this sentiment is increasingly being reflected across Westminster.
