GLASGOW will play host to an unorthodox type of music event this weekend.
The BBC Radio 6 Music festival line up includes everything from obscure indie rock to underground techno.
But there are a few big guns too, with Depeche Mode and Goldfrapp among the headliners of the sold out three day fest.
From Primal Scream to Mogwai, Glasgow is renowned for its indie musical exports.
But gig goers in Scotland’s capital rarely get the chance to enjoy a full weekend of acclaimed alternative music.
David McElroy, editor of electronic music blog Almost Predictable Almost, says this weekend’s festival cannot come soon enough.
The festival will not just feature international acts – the likes of Honeyblood and Belle and Sebastian will play venues across the city during the day.
At night, west end warehouse SWG3 will host raves featuring local DJs.
