Partick Thistle striker Kris Doolan has scored his 100th goal for the Jags.

The fans favourite hit the equaliser against Ross County at Firhill on Saturday afternoon to complete his century.

And, not content with that, the frontman also struck the winner, 10 minutes from time, to ensure Thistle took all three points in the Scottish Premiership.

The 30-year-old, who joined the Jags in 2009 from Junior League side Auchinleck Talbot, has promised fans there’s more to come from the talismanic forward.

Doolan said: “I’m ecstatic. I didn’t get to 100 and stop, I’m on to my next hundred now. We are counting – we’re away again.

“To score the 100th goal, to score the winner in such a big game, and to have the captain’s armband on, was a dream come true.”

Meanwhile Thistle boss Alan Archibald hailed the star striker after his brace ensured the team maintain their strangle hold on sixth place in the league.

Archibald added: “I’m delighted. I asked the players to take responsibility and nobody does it better than Kris.

“I think he takes that on himself, probably sometimes too much to get the goals for us.

“It was a fitting way to do it with two great goals.”
