video Locals turn up heat on council over crossing

Glasgow City Council is under increasing pressure as Mount Vernon locals continue to push for a pedestrian crossing at their train station.

Currently, the railway link is isolated as it is surrounded by four lanes of busy traffic with no safe way to cross the road.

A petition has now been started that will be delivered to the council expressing a desire to have a pedestrian crossing installed.

Despite opposition to the dangers of junction, no local or national politicians have acted on the issue in more than ten years.
