Banned driver caught on Glasgow roads

By Emily Jamison

A banned driver has admitted driving while disqualified after he was caught behind the wheel.

Ireneusz Mlodzimierz Hrynkow, 41, was banned for five years, placed under supervision for a year and required to complete 300 hours of unpaid work.

His defence claimed he was a self-employed builder who took to the road whenever his lift to work did not show up.

The defence also said that he was attempting to finish a building contract when he was caught driving.

The court heard that the police pulled over Hrynkow after spotting him driving on Fielden Street, Crownpoint Road and David Street in Parkhead.
