Glasgow hairdresser opens hospice salon

By Samantha Allan

Glasgow hairdresser Taylor Ferguson has launched a new salon in a South Lanarkshire hospice.

It’s hoped that the salon in Kilbryde Hospice will help give patients an uplifting experience and make their day a little better.

The hospice will offer hair cutting and styling and hopes to expand to include wig and scarf tying services.

The partnership came about after Lady Haughey, a client at the Taylor Ferguson salon spoke to him about the work that was being done at the hospice.

Kilbryde Hospice currently offers a range of treatments including music therapies, counselling and complementary therapies.

Peter Samson, a spokesman for Taylor Ferguson says that they hope the salon will help boost the patient’s mood.
